Please read carefully we will have 3 shows this year:
NRDA staff takes great pride in our annual recital and the dancer’s safety and security is our TOP PRIORITY! Our goal is an entertaining show for the dancers, staff and audience.
Included in this information is one form that needs to be returned to the studio for each student. Completed forms must be returned by May 10th and tights & DVDs must be paid for at that time in full. CLICK HERE for a link to our form.
SHOW #1 , SHOW #2 and SHOW # 3 ARE NOT MIRROR IMAGES OF EACH OTHER!
Most dancers will be performing in one show, some are in two. This was chosen based on a mixture of dancers and ages. This ensures all our shows are an optimum 1.5 hours … everyone loves that!!
Dance Recital Ticket Sales Start: MAY 2nd at 6:00 pm
Tickets for all 3 shows will be sold online this year!! You asked for it … so you are getting it! NO WAITING IN LINE! This will be very similar to buying a ticket for a concert. You can even go online and your select seats. Also, you can print your tickets to bring with you the day of our show. VERY EASY!
PLEASE … PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BUY TICKETS FOR THE CORRECT AND TIME SHOW! Tickets are going to be $14.00 each and payments can be made with a credit card. We are ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO BUY ONLINE. However, in a RARE situation, where you need to pay cash or check, you can buy tickets on Monday nights at NRDA from 5:30-7:30pm starting May 5th, 12th and 19th. We will also sell tickets at the door on the day of our show.
Our SHOWS MAY SELL OUT THIS YEAR! Make sure to get your tickets early starting May 2nd at 6pm! As always, you can buy as many or as few as you want. Last year we made some exceptions, but this year there will be NO REFUNDS.

Dance Recital T-Shirt
All dancers get a dance recital t-shirt with a paid costume!! If you would like extra t-shirts they are $17.00 please add size and quantity on order form. Please check the bulletin board in our lobby to make sure we have the first and last name spelled correctly for your dancer. If it’s wrong, please have the front desk staff update the dsncer’s name in our database. We are asking if you could please add a check mark to our list if your dancer’s name is correct.
A professional DVD of the Show will be filmed again this year! DVD’s will have a highlight reel from our dress rehearsal and ALL THREE SHOWS will be on one DVD! The quality of the DVD is outstanding and a wonderful keepsake. We will take pre-orders starting May 5th for $28.00. The price will increase to $35.00 the day of our show. We can accept cash/check/charge made out to NRDA. DVD’s will be at the studio for pick-up in late August. An e-mail will be sent out when they are ready for pick up. Unfortunately this means NO videotaping will be permitted in the auditorium and NO! NO! Flash Photography … it’s distracting for our dancers! A wonderful bonus is that the dancers in our “holding room” back stage will be able to watch a LIVE FEED OF THE SHOW on TV! There will be NO refunds on DVD’s ordered. We welcome back Elizabeth Glorioso Photography this year! Saturday May 31st thru June 1st will be our photo day.
This year we will take all individual dancer photos prior to the rehearsal/recital at NRDA! They will be done on Saturday, May 31st thru June 1st. CLICK HERE to see times. Please have dancer show up to our NRDA Studio 5 minutes before their time slot and completely ready for photos. Ms. Amy will be on site to help pose all dancers and to check the dancer’s hair/make-up as a trial run before our dress rehearsal. PLEASE NOTE** If you have multiple students and times are spread out, just bring all the costumes for your entire family for one time slot. PLEASE TRY TO SHOW UP IN YOUR TIME SLOT. This ensures we stay on schedule … everyone loves that! We will be taking the girls and boys into the photo room without mom or dad. This makes our process go much smoother. All “NRDA COMPANY DANCERS” will be taking photos May 9th at NRDA during our dress rehearsal before competition.
Group photos will be taken during the dress rehearsal at Independence Middle School on June 5th!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE THIS IN ADVANCE . However, we will have order forms at our studio close to the photo day. Feel free to come and have your photos taken and have a trial run of hair/make-up before the photos. You will be able to view them online and decide if you would like to purchase them later. If you purchase in advance, the photographer will chose the best pose for your package. Pre-sale orders will be at a slight discount compared to the online ordering. Photos will be ready to be pick-up about 4 weeks after the recital at NRDA. An e-mail will be sent to you when they ready for pick up. We will have a sneak-peek online about 2 weeks after our show. Tights, Costume & Make-Up
Teachers will make suggestions on what type & color of tights we prefer for the recital. We will have high quality tights on sale starting May 5th for $10.00 (this is typically less expensive than most stores). Please complete the “size” on this form for tights orders. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND OUR TIGHTS!!!
Costumes will be sent home early in May (some have already gone home). Please take the costume out of the bag and hang it on a hanger in a safe, dry place. Be sure to write your child’s name on the costume, shoes, and tights.
You may choose your dancer’s show make-up colors. The stage is a distance from the audience so make sure to apply enough make-up (base, eye shadow, mascara, blush, lipstick). Any concerns with make-up will be addressed at our dress rehearsal by our NRDA staff. Some classes may make specific recommendations. You will be notified in advance if that is the case.
We will be using SIGNUPGENIS.com online this year. So stay tuned for a link! Ms. Amy prefers less people doing a great job than tons of people helping out! But we still need help! More details to follow a week before our show. If you are volunteering back stage you CAN’T SNEAK TO THE THEATRE during the show. Sorry! If you are volunteering, please clear your name with Ms. Amy regarding any dancer’s siblings you plan to take into the dressing rooms. Sorry Dads! Let’s stick to Mom volunteers due to our costume changes. We ask that parents stay clear of the backstage if they are not volunteering due to safety, security and the privacy of our dancers.
MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSAL THURSDAY June 5th 5:30-9:00pm at Independence Middle School
CLICK HERE to see your dancer’s schedule. We ask that parent stay with their dancer the entire time. We all stay together in the main auditorium and call our acts “up on deck”. After your dancer performs, you are permitted to leave. We will NOT PRACTICE THE FINALE. This is a fun event for the girls! It is relaxed, yet very timely and organized! Please see Ms. Amy for any questions or issues.
